1.2 By accessing, browsing, or making a donation, the donor (“the Donor”) fully and unconditionally accepts these Terms of Use. If the Donor does not agree, they must refrain from using the service.
1.3 Donations constitute voluntary contributions in support of the Organisation’s cultural, educational, and environmental objectives. Donations do not create any contractual or commercial relationship of exchange. The Organisation does not provide goods or services in return for donations, unless explicitly stated (e.g., membership benefits).
1.4 The Donor is solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided. The Organisation shall not be held liable for any errors or omissions in the information submitted.
1.5 The Organisation reserves the right to amend or update these Terms of Use at any time. Any amendments will be published on the website and will take effect immediately.
1.6 The use of this service shall be governed by the laws of Greece and the applicable laws of the European Union.
2. Withdrawal Policy
2.1 In accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations, the Donor has the right to withdraw and request a refund of their donation within twenty-four (24) hours from the completion of the transaction.
2.2 The right of withdrawal is exercised by submitting a written request via email to the organisation’s email or via the contact form available on the website.
2.3 After the expiry of the 24-hour period, the right of withdrawal ceases and the donation shall be deemed final and irrevocable.
2.4 In the event of a valid withdrawal, the refund will be processed to the Donor’s account or credit card by the authorised payment provider, within a reasonable timeframe.
3. Cancellation and Return Policy
3.1 Donations, being voluntary contributions made in favour of a non-profit purpose, are not subject to cancellation or return procedures, except as expressly provided under the 24-hour withdrawal period.
3.2 The Donor acknowledges and accepts that after the lapse of this period, no cancellation or return of the donation is possible.
3.3 By way of exception, in the event of a double charge or technical error in the transaction, the Organisation undertakes to investigate the matter promptly and, if the error is confirmed, to process a refund of the corresponding amount.
4. Privacy Policy and Cookies
4.1 Privacy Policy
4.1.1 The Organisation is committed to protecting the personal data of Donors, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679 – GDPR), Greek Law 4624/2019, and all other applicable legal provisions.
4.1.2 The personal data collected is limited to what is strictly necessary for the execution of the donation: name, contact details (email address, telephone), and payment information.
4.1.3 The processing of payment data is carried out exclusively through the Organisation’s authorised payment provider, in a secure environment (SSL, PCI-DSS). The Organisation does not store nor has access to full credit card details.
4.1.4 Personal data will not be shared with third parties, except where required by law or where strictly necessary for the secure processing of the donation.
4.1.5 Donors have the right to access, rectify, restrict, port, or erase their personal data, by submitting a request to the organisation’s email.
4.1.6 The Organisation will retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable law.
4.2 Cookies Policy
4.2.1 The Organisation’s website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on the user’s device, for the following purposes:
- to enhance user navigation and browsing experience,
- to ensure the security of transactions,
- to record anonymised statistical data (analytics).
4.2.2 Cookies do not store personal data that could directly identify the user.
