Improvement projects for the upgrading of the Archaeological Site
The AMKE (Ancient Quarries Non-profit Organisation) has prepared a package of interventions that focus on improving the visitors’ experience in the Archaeological Site focused on:
- Upgrading the main entrance of the Archaeological Site
- The creation of a central square as a visitor information and rest station.
- Upgrading of the footpaths connecting the main entrance with the central square and from there with the entrances of the quarries.
- Configurations of the entrances of the Nymphs’ and Pan’s Quarries.
- Upgrading of the parking facilities.
Most of these improvements can be implemented as soon as the necessary funding has been secured.
